  • Excursion to hilly France: Perl to Saarbrücken

the French part of the Mosel cycling path

The weather was predicted to be sunny and warm, so I started early, around 8:30 AM.

First, I cycled down all the way to the Mosel again and after just a few meters, I was already in France. There was no sign for the border but the „Moselradweg“ sign was suddenly in French: „Chemin de la Mosel“ 🙂

  • Nice and easy along the border: From Trier to Perl

Luxembourg on the other side of the Mosel

I was cycling all day along the Mosel which is the border to Luxembourg but never touched foreign soil. But we went shopping for food on the day before in Wasserbillig which is in Luxembourg.

  • 20th – 24th September: Toronto to Digby

    20th – 24th September: Toronto to Digby

After receiving virtually no feedback on my job applications over the summer, I decided to make good use of my time and take another trip to Canada.

Conveniently, I found a cheap flight on Air Transat – and on September 20, I set off once again for Toronto.

  • JEY…….I survived Monday…

    JEY…….I survived Monday…

…and tomorrow is my day off – and I don’t have a clue what to do (it’s supposed to be raining again). Maybe just go to Beacon Hill Park and to the seaside – or Butchart Gardens (haven’t been there yet)….
But if anybody has any other suggestions, please write me NOW 🙂

  • Result of the first test

    Result of the first test

Well, it worked (of course 😉 ): instead of having to tell 80% of the people the right way to the main level it’s only 20% who wanted to turn around.

But it was pretty busy yesterday, so my motivation left at about 4 PM and I was back on counting minutes before I was able to leave…..seems I’m not a born shop assistent after all 😉
Boy, I’m looking forward to Tuesday, my day-off….

  • Halftime at the Christmas Village

    Halftime at the Christmas Village

Today is my third Saturday, two more to go.
And there have been changes. Well, not big ones but small ones.
First of all, I changed my attitude three days ago. I decided, since I wanted to keep the job until christmas and I hated it, I could also try to learn as  much as possible. Because it is really not paying enough to be exused (or compensated) by money.
