I woke up briefly at around 4:30 a.m. when we docked in Pointe-à-Pitre, but then went straight back to sleep. At breakfast, I chatted with the other passengers, but they were only going to Guadeloupe for the weekend and would be returning on Wednesday on the next ship.
Loading continued throughout the morning.
I did my laundry and watched “One Day” (= “Zwei an einem Tag”).
Somehow it feels strange not to be able to disembark.
I spent lunch with the cadets, who were in a good mood. We were supposed to depart at 2 p.m. – but by the time we were ready to go, it was 2:30 p.m.
I sat by the pool and read a little, but as soon as we were underway, it was too windy for me there and I moved inside. I read there until about 4 p.m., made a quick trip to the crew smoking room to play two rounds of darts (I was rather mediocre) and to the forecastle until it started to rain.

I had time for a quick shower before dinner. After dinner, I finished reading “Conflict of Interest,” and then it was almost
bedtime again.
I think that was the most unspectacular day I’ve had in a long time….
