24 hours to go….
Alright, one last post before I leave my home country for the longest time I’ve ever been away…. ah, that sounds dramatic 😉

Canada – how it all started
In September 2009 (before my 30th birthday), I visited New Zealand for the second time. It was only a six-week vacation, but that’s where it all started: everywhere I went, I met people who had simply left Germany behind for an adventure. They quit their jobs, put their furniture in storage, and left.
How extreme!
Sure, I always wanted to get away. After school: away from my home town, so I went to Hanover to study, and after graduating, away from Germany, so I spent three months in New Zealand.

Less than a month……huaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh……….
No idea what kind of sound that last bit was… maybe something like when you’re trying to lift a piano… well, maybe more horror-like … Like when you realize that the piano you just had in your hands is now moving towards your big toe at a high speed… probably something in that direction…

What’s new….
….so, one month from today I’m already in Canada – hopefully the weather then is better than the weather here is now: grey, rainy and temps around 10°C…. after one single day of remindeding us how spring’s supposed to be: warm, sunny with blue skies…
