Less than a month……huaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh……….

No idea what kind of sound that last bit was… maybe something like when you’re trying to lift a piano… well, maybe more horror-like … Like when you realize that the piano you just had in your hands is now moving towards your big toe at a high speed… probably something in that direction…

But back to the serious side of life:
Time is running out (not mine, well, mine too, of course, but I meant the time until my departure), but there’s also a lot happening… For example, tomorrow is my second to last day at work, which is great because then I’ll finally have time for the really important things, which are… packing boxes – I’ve already started, and they’re happily sitting here in the apartment, but then I can focus on that even more…

Then, of course, there are tons of other things to organize… Um, well, for example, finding a ride to take me and my stuff to my parents’ place at some point, or finding about 2 1/2 strong men to help me with the kitchen, the washing machine, the refrigerator, and stuff like that…

Phew, just thinking about it makes me sooooooooooooo tired… And tomorrow, hopefully for the second to last time, I’ll be leaving the warm depths of my bed at 5:20 a.m….yes, I know I don’t have to, but I promised one last time for tomorrow, so I’ll do it….

Oh, and of course I’ve already forgotten the very best news: I have the basement key – finally – well, it felt about as exhausting as… (phew, now I really need a suitable comparison)… does anyone have experience with elephant births?? I think this could be roughly comparable… well, like an elephant giving birth… It feels like 24 months… well, now I have the key, the entrance to my treasure chamber, which on closer inspection is a little dirtier than it looked at first glance, but after all, my furniture is only going to be stored there and not stay there permanently, and besides, it’s dry (I even checked the corners once again!!!) and that’s the main thing, maybe I’ll put a nice painter’s rug underneath so my furniture is comfortable while I’m away.

Speaking of “away”: I finally booked my first accommodation in Toronto earlier, which surprisingly didn’t hurt at all. And didn’t have anything in common with the terrible piano association from earlier… so that’s another item checked off my to-do list and I’ve also come full circle to the beginning of this post 🙂
Of course, that could have been even more elegant, but it’s good if there is still space to improve, right? 😉
With that in mind: keep working hard… CU in a bit
