Despite the very nice room and a delicious breakfast, my bad mood was back (maybe I was sensing the bad weather already). I also had to do some shopping and it took some contemplating on which side of the Mosel I wanted to continue, so I started relatively late.
I was also a bit bored because the landscape was the same as the day before, still beautiful but not new 😉
So, I cycled along and my friend the wind was back as well….as usual from the front.
The wind grew stronger and sometimes I wondered if it was just me when I cycled downhill and pedaled real hard and moved close to not at all. Luckily, nobody overtook me to make me feel even worse….
Around noon the wind was so strong that the last 8-9 km of the day lasted forever.
In Traben-Trarbach, I went / was blown directly into the tourist information and checked into the hotel, just before the rain started.
I chose the hotel mainly because it had a POOL. 🙂 After I unpacked, I made my way to check it out. The hotel was a bit aged and there were a lot of dead and stuffed animals (deer heads, a fox, ducks,…), so I didn’t expect much of the pool but I was positively surprised: it was nice and clean – and almost empty 🙂
So I swam for about an half hour before I went back to my room, changed and went into town for late lunch / early dinner.
Btw.: My App stopped working in the middle of the morning, so I drew the route by hand. That’s why the parameters might be incorrect.
