This was my second day at home…my room looks like some world traveller has just dropped their belongings. I hate it but I also don’t want to unpack thoroughly since I don’t intend staying for too long….or at least I hope so.
Yesterday I did the formality run: Citizen Advice Bureau to change my ID, then the appointment at the job centre….now I have to send out four applications every month in order to get money – such stupidity – and I won’t be able to go on big vacation since my “holiday” is only getting approved one week in advance, so flight bookings, hotel reservations and the like would be at my own risk – thank you very much!
So, I guess it’s rather some spontaneous get-away at the Baltic Sea this year. Well, I haven’t been in Germany for vacation for a long time, so, why not?
After the job centre I went to revenue office to apply for a new tax number for me as entrepreneur :-)….well, I took the application form home and I’m still working on it. I guess, I have to go back tomorrow and let them help me.
In the late afternoon, after temps had dropped a bit, I did a into-the-dark-cycling trip believing my brother who claimed it won’t be dark before 9:30PM….well, he was wrong and I was right: it was already almost dark by 8:30 PM and completely dark by 9 PM and I was still some 5k from our home (without lights – of course). Lucky me that my bike knows the way back home and that I wasn’t run over by some deer or wild hog.
Today, we did a family trip to the nearby lake by bikes and spend the morning sitting in the wet grass, swimming and letting ourselves dry in the sun. Rather nice before you have to lock yourself up into the house for the afternoon….temps were as high as 34°C today but I did some reading in the shade trying to get rid of my cyclists tan 🙂
I also sent out another application to Hannover and am going to send another one tomorrow – am not just lazy, see 😉
