Today, I woke up pretty tired and feeling stiff. Also the weather forecast wasn’t very optimistic, so I decided to cycle a rather short route along the Old Salt Road, meaning along the Elbe-Luebeck channel to Lauenburg at the Elbe river.

Day 27: bye, bye Fort St.Louis and trip home
Wednesday, 18th July 2012
I woke up around 5 a.m., when we had already docked, and couldn’t get back to sleep. At 6 a.m., I got up, showered, and packed everything up. Of course, there was no sign of the others at breakfast. I grabbed a piece of baguette as a snack for the journey and was down at the dock at 7:30 a.m. sharp, where unfortunately there was no taxi waiting.

20th – 24th September: Toronto to Digby
After receiving virtually no feedback on my job applications over the summer, I decided to make good use of my time and take another trip to Canada.
Conveniently, I found a cheap flight on Air Transat – and on September 20, I set off once again for Toronto.

15th – 22nd August: Trip to Alaska (USA)
Alaska isn’t exactly around the corner—not even from Canada—so I spent another 24 hours on the bus to Prince Rupert, which is still in Canada but close to Alaska.
