Lunch wisdom
Some days ago a collegue from work mentioned Dr. Seuss and his poems full of wisdom to me and this is one I especially like:
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You’re on your own.
And you know what you know.
You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
~Dr. Seuss
well, I supposed the same applies to girls…tsssss…..tssss…… Dr. Seuss… ;-))
….wait….here I found another one:
“be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind” -

The helicopter pilot
Since I live here in Berne, Switzerland, I admire the
helicopter pilot(s). I used to live right next to the hospital –
and the helicopter landing site. I can also watch them from work
sometimes when they fly construction materials through – or above – the city. These guys are my heroes to fly so precisely, to control something so fragile and agile as a helicopter, to pick up and deliver right on the spot in all weather conditions, wind, rain,
night,… – just amazing!!Last week when I was having lunch in the hospital canteen, a helicopter pilot was sitting at table next to mine and I could watch his back while eating. I had to watch him all the time, so that I won’t miss his face when he would turn around eventually. Finally when he was leaving, he did – AND: he was just a normal, ordinary, middle-aged guy. He would not stand out in a crowd. Without his uniform I would probably not even had given him as much as a glimpse and forgot all about him after two seconds but that doesn’t change the fact that he is doing an amazing job..So new lesson learnt: you don’t have to look extraordinary to be extraordinary 🙂 -
Imagine….
….life really was that simple: eat, sleep, love, be happy – but you don’t notice, because you’re to busy worrying….what a waste!
