6 months later….

….wow, it’s already middle auf August but nothing much has changed yet.
I guess due to summer vacation there are not much offers at the job market right now. I sent out another application the day before yesterday but that’s about it.

In the meantime I spent 3 weeks at my parents‘ where I’m going to return to on Sunday in order to save some money and to be finally able to sleep without ear plugs again. I also started cycling as a daily routine, still the marathon in September in mind. It actually feels like a „real“ job being out „working“ for three to four hours every day with the small difference that you don’t get paid for it – too bad 😉

Since the job centre refuses to pay me any money up to now, it really is „too bad“. But I handed in a certificate from a psychiatrist who confirmed my psychosomatic issues caused by my work place. The final decision from the job centre is due any day now (after a four week waiting period!!!).

Whatelse….
 – I met a pilot, Flo, at Didi’s bistro and got a almost free 10-minute flight over my home town – lovely 🙂
 – I took another involuntary trip into fresh mud which was good for me (soft landing) but bad for my bike because it fell on a tree stump and the rear sprocket was ripped off  – another 50 bucks gone 🙁

Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa………………

I just received a phone call from my parents: I got the new assessment from the job centre and they pay  my money retrospectively from July on….yeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy………….now I can start planning my vacation 🙂
After half a year working my ass of for nothing and six weeks sitting around herding my money, I think I deserve it.
And there are some nice specials on flights in September from FFM to Vancouver.

Jericho Beach…. I’m coming 🙂

Beach life, sand, sea water and cocktails – sounds like music to my ears. I think I even have two or three hours on my windsurfing card left  🙂

OK, were was I….:
On Monday I’m due for my next appointment at the job centre (because I’m moving), so I can tell them right away about my plans of V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N 🙂

I’m also going to get myself a tax number since I intend to work as a translator for games, e-books, blogs and the like – at least part-time, I already registered with elance and I’m just waiting to land my first job – yes, I guess, I should have a tax number first ;-).

Besides, I did some more research for Oliver, the manager of Trinity Tours, for whom I already translated the company home page in January.

And I did some consulting work for Dualda, a very special dating website where you hook people up by putting their pictures together. I very much liked the idea of a different way to meet people and gave some of my ideas to Daniel who runs Dualda and who actually didn’t respond to my last e-mail. Hmm, seems that I might have send one or two too many ideas and suggestions 😉

It’s all not paying any money (yet) but it keeps me busy and I’m gathering experience in areas I haven’t worked in so far. So I guess it’s all paying off some day 🙂

So much for now – I have to have a little party right away –  now that there is at least some money coming in again…..meet me at the bar 🙂
