Remove nasty smells spray

Unfortunately, I don’t remember where I found this recipe but it was declared as room and laundry spray.

And while I usually don’t use any fragrance for my rooms or my laundry, I use the spray for shoes that acquired an „interesting“ smell over time or sport clothes that smell after every use but that I don’t want to wash all the time.

And it actually also works brilliantly when someone has left a very rich „fragrance“ in the restroom.

The natron in the spray neutralizes almost all smells and the alcohol kills most bacteria which might develop smelly odors later on. So it’s not just covering up bad smells but actually removes the cause of the odor.

That’s why the essential oil is not absolutely necessary but often it’s just nice to replace bad smells with something good 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ table spoons natron
  • 125ml boiled or destilled water, lukewarm
  • 75 ml isopropyl alcohol or vodka
  • 10 drops of essential oil of your choice, I like grapefruit or orange but it’s really up you 🙂

Preparations:

Dissolve the natron in the lukewarm water.
Then add the alcohol and the essential oil and fill the mixture into a spraying bottle. Then shake it until everything is mixed well.
Shake well before every use.
