With tinfoil and baking paper
I just learnt this life hack today and tried it immediately….and it works!
If you live in an area where the water is chalky (like here in Germany in all (?) major cities), you know the issue that EVERYTHING which comes in contact with water calcifies over time.
This easy trick helps, especially with places where a bathroom cleaner is impractical (e.g. surfaces underneath) or with very old and hard deposits.
Tinfoil helps especially with thick, persistant deposits whereas baking paper is more suitable for thinner chalk layers and to polish the surfaces. And apparently the coating of the baking paper also prevents the surfaces from becoming calcified too soon again.
How it’s done
You’ll just need a piece of tinfoil oder baking paper, form a small ball and scrub the surface with it. It does not scratch the surface but only removes the chalk layer which absolutely amazes me.
