For days, I had been suffering from severe neck and should pain and some other medical issues that made me decide to see a doctor in Jueterbog. Luckily, I got an appointment on short notice. The recommendation was to stop cycling as soon as possible.

So, I spend the rest of the day contemplating what to do… The rest of the route was not really much, about 300k if I wanted to go the whole way back to Boltenhagen at the Baltic Sea. Only a few more days….

But then the decision was kind of made for me:
I got the message that the mother of one of my childhood friends had passed that morning. If I wanted to attend the funeral, I didn’t have the time to cycle the whole way and make my way to Baden-Wuerttemberg.

So, I decided to cycle one more day to Berlin. From there, I would take the train to Kluetz where my normal clothes and other stuff was waiting. After changing back to a civilian and non-cyclist person, I would then travel to the South to attend the funeral.
