Second day along the Main: Steinbach to Wuerzburg

Download GPX track

After two nights right in the middle of the town center, I woke wonderfully refreshed due to the absolute quietness of the village. Another early breakfast was offered and I met a couple of cyclists who were cycling the reverse direction towards Miltenberg.

They recommended to cycle on the left side of the Main, even the official cycling track would cross the Main river twice.

I did as recommended and cycled a bit on a freshly paved, quiet back road. Resulting in a pretty easy and short cycling day: just before lunchtime, around noon, I arrived at the outskirts of Wuerzburg.
Since I could only check into my AirBnB accommodation at 2 PM, I pushed my bike through town and had a huge, yummy (and more special than in Hirschhorn 😉 ) salad at the market square.

Two o’clock on the dot, I checked into the AirBnB flat and was met by a huuuuuuuge penthouse (ok, it said that in the description) which was obviously rented out, almost like a mini hostel. With four rented out rooms on my floor. Christian, the host, showed me around the flat.
Since I was planning to stay the following day in Wuerzburg, I enjoyed the huge TV (with four working channels) and the absence of internet for the rest of the afternoon 😉
