My very first three days in Montréal in short.
Thursday (20th May):
Going to Montréal: Leave on the bus at 7:45 AM – wooooooooooooow that was early; short stop-over in Toronto at around 10AM; bus to Montreal left at 11:30 AM and was packed 🙁 so I couldn’t use the free WiFi as much as I intented; additionally my laptop was low on battery. So I spent the time sleeping and looking out of the window…not much to report
Arrived at Montreal at 6PM and walked all the hill up to the Auberge de Jeunesse Maeva; was dead when I finally made it. But got at once revived by Angele (?) and Jorge and a glass of water.
After some essential shopping for food and cooking some pasta; went to a bar with Franziska from Switzerland and Jorge. And had a very nice Mojito :-))
Friday (21th May):
I rented a bike and met Monika from Switzerland at the bike station; we cycled down to the harbour and onto the islands lying in the harbour of Montreal, thanks for the tip, Sindy!!! We visited the Olypmic Basin, the Gilles Villeneuve Course and went to the amusement park LaRonde which was still closed; seems like almost everything is still closed… after that we did a quick trip through the centre ville and took a break in the park next to our hostels and went for some drinks in the evening

Saturday (22nd May):
Monika and I took the bikes from the Bixi (which has stations all over town where you can rent and return the bikes) again and cycled up the Mount Royal: you’ve got a very good view all over downtown but the weather was cloudy (but warm): then we cycled down the hill again – unfortunately on the wrong side, so we gave the bikes back and went back into town by bus

We took then the metro out to the Stade Olympic and visited the BioDôme – a very cool…or better rather hot and humid place and had finally a veeeeeeeeeeeery delicious dinner (home-cooked)
